Musicians Wanted — Post-Punk / Art-Rock Band (Original Album Project)

Hey!

I'm a 26-year-old guitarist, composer and songwriter based in Berlin-Neukölln, currently working on material for a new album and looking for like-minded musicians to build a band with.

I've previously released several albums independently, mainly exploring post-rock, classical composition, IDM and experimental electronic music. My musical background is quite diverse and composition-focused, but lately I've been moving towards a more guitar-driven, band-oriented sound.

I've already started writing and recording original material for this new project, and I'd love to bring other musicians into the process to develop the music further and see where it takes us.

**THE SOUND**

Musically, I'm exploring the space between post-punk, shoegaze, alternative rock, art rock and occasional psychedelic and garage rock influences.

Think driving basslines, hypnotic rhythms, atmospheric and interlocking guitars, unusual textures, and big, cathartic moments. I love music that can be melodic and immediately memorable without sacrificing depth, experimentation or emotional intensity.

Some of my influences include The Strokes, Joy Division, Slowdive, DIIV, She Past Away, Interpol and Queens of the Stone Age, among many others. These are reference points rather than a blueprint. I'm much more interested in developing our own identity than sounding exactly like any particular band.

I'm also interested in blending electronic elements, drum machines and synthesizers with organic, guitar-driven arrangements.

**WHO I'M LOOKING FOR**

I'm particularly interested in finding a bassist, drummer and someone comfortable with synthesizers, keyboards or electronic production. A vocalist or second guitarist could also be a great addition.

I currently compose and arrange the guitar, bass, drum and synth parts myself, so there's already a musical foundation to work with. That said, I'd love to find people who can bring their own ideas, sounds and musical personalities into the arrangements.

I'm ideally hoping to form a full band, but I'm also open to starting as a duo with the right multi-instrumentalist or producer who enjoys working across different instruments and electronic elements. I think both approaches could lead somewhere interesting, although building a band is ultimately what excites me most.

You don't need to be a virtuoso or have exactly the same musical influences. What matters most is creativity, curiosity, musical chemistry and a genuine interest in making original music.

I've already started developing several compositions and have a general direction in mind for the album, but I'm really looking forward to bringing other musicians into the process, exchanging ideas and seeing how the music evolves together.

**THE PLAN**

The initial goal is to get together, explore ideas, develop a cohesive collection of songs and eventually record a full-length album.

I'd also love to take the music to the stage once we've developed a sound we're happy with.

I'm interested in building something with long-term potential, but without unnecessary pressure or unrealistic expectations. Making music we're genuinely excited about comes first.

These releases represent different sides of my musical background. The new material is heading in a more guitar-driven, post-punk, shoegaze and art-rock direction.

I've already been developing several original compositions for the upcoming album. The material is still unreleased, and I'm looking forward to finding the right musicians to explore and develop it with.
