Band is looking
hello, we are looking for a bass player, who:
- has an interest in post-rock, alternative rock and open to adding new colours/directions to these genres
- reliable work-ethic (rehearsal 2x per week)
- has their own gear ready for gigs/rehearsals (amp/pedals/etc).
- is ready to compose and record besides playing live gigs.
- (+/-) comfortable with using her/their/his voice
We are a group of musicians collaborating across two projects - geistæ (post-rock), aisle of winter (alternative rock), and we are looking for someone who would be interested in both.
You can listen to our EPs on bandcamp (geistae.bandcamp.com) (aisleofwinter.bandcamp.com) and other music platforms.
For each project, we like these bands as inspiration (but are not limited to their styles):
geistæ; explosions in the sky, mogwai, battle of mice, sigur ros, russian circles, fjørt, etc...
aow; cocteau twins, depesche mode, boy harsher, wolf alice, the strokes, (old school) paramore, weval, beak>, the knife, portishead, radiohead
we speak mostly english (but also german, korean, portuguese) and try to respect each other as collaborators/equals.
please do get in touch if this sounds like something you want to do.
It would be good if you could introduce yourself and send recorded materials where we can hear you playing bass.
best,
geistæ and aisle of winter
