Forró - from the ground up

looking to start a forró group, with a focus on arrangement of classic songs and develop/write others to play live (live music has been, to me, always part of the magic of forró (and other folk music), where people from all walks of life gather to dance).

i play soprano saxophone, have been working on covers from Luiz Gonzaga, Trio Nordestino, Dominguinhos, and a few others, including some instrumental songs like "Batuque Destemperado" e "Ovo". I could sing a bit and support with triangle too or light percussion. I have a little bit of a jazz background, am from brasil and play bossa and a bit of jazz too, lived however after 18 yo always elsewhere and now in Berlin since 2017.

Let`s build a forró band with an accordeon player (?or rabeca), a soprano sax, percussionist and zabumba TO PLAY LIVE!
For the band I do have a place to rehearse (Rockhaus)

PS: for a few years i played in a duo with an accordeon player and we always wanted to expand, but sadly he left berlin and I focused then on other projects where I play rock guitar.
